A humanist wedding is a non-religious ceremony, where the weight and meaning comes from the most important people of the moment - you! What the wedding and the marriage means to you is the most important thing to me, and the ceremony will reflect that. I will work with you to craft your perfect ceremony - meaningful, customised and exactly what you want.
Do you want a ceremony full of fun stories about your life together so far? One that reflects your passions and interests? Or maybe something simple and sincere? Whichever you choose, I will work hard to make it exactly how you wish. Humanist weddings can also be anywhere you like!
We can include ceremonial elements too - there are lots of wonderful rituals from many different cultures and traditions that we can use in a humanist funeral. If you and your partner have elements from your backgrounds or cultures that might be performed in a more traditional wedding, we can absolutely include them if you like, reframed from a humanist perspective. It's up to you! The wedding can take any form that you wish.
I love doing wedding planning meetings! I think there is nothing better in life than hearing other people's stories, and it's so wonderful to meet great couples and hear all about their life and couple's story, and what the wedding means to you. It's a fun way to spend a few hours, after which I will go away to start writing your bespoke ceremony.
I'm available for services such as a rehearsal if you need. I also have a wide breadth of interests, so I understand ceremonies such as themed weddings based on your passions!
