I'm a full-time humanist celebrant based in Sheffield. I conduct naming ceremonies in South Yorkshire and right across the UK. Families usually choose to work with me because they like my warm, approachable style and they want their celebration to be fun and relaxed.

I would love to create a bespoke ceremony for you and your loved ones. Life is all about making memories together after all, so let's make some happy ones.

Humanist naming ceremonies in South Yorkshire

Whether your child is a teeny newborn or starting big school, there's no age limit for a naming ceremony. Often families are looking to make something positive out of a bumpy road to becoming parents. I have worked with families who have experienced the adoption process, fertility treatments and bereavement, as well as all the other things life throws our way.

My job is to make the whole process as enjoyable and simple as possible. If you’re hoping for a celebrant who will make your life easy (shout out to the tired parents out there!) and be as excited as you are about your day then you’ve come to the right place.

Together we can craft a script based on your values, your story and your family. And of course, once we’ve settled on an awesome script, we will have a stellar event to create joyous memories too. Can’t wait? Me neither!

We had the pleasure of working with Meg to create a beautiful Naming Ceremony for our daughter. We wanted a Humanist ceremony as we are both not religious but weren't sure what to expect. For anyone else who is unsure, do not hesitate to work with Meg.

Where I work

I live in Sheffield, which is conveniently close to Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley and right on the edge of the Peak District. I conduct naming ceremonies mostly in Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.
