I'm Matt, a London-based humanist celebrant, and I create personal, meaningful and wonderfully individual ceremonies for people who want something that feels authentically theirs.
Whether you're planning something gloriously unconventional, beautifully understated, full of laughter, or deeply emotional, there's no rulebook we have to follow. The only thing that matters is that your ceremony feels right for you.
A celebration of who you are
As a gay man, I know what it's like to grow up surrounded by expectations about who you're supposed to be and how you're supposed to live.
That's one of the reasons I became a celebrant.
I wanted to help create the kind of ceremonies where nobody has to squeeze themselves into somebody else's idea of what love, commitment or family should look like.
My background in diversity and inclusion means I bring more than good intentions to creating welcoming ceremonies. I understand that genuine inclusion is about listening, challenging assumptions and making sure everyone feels they belong.
That might mean rethinking traditional wedding roles, incorporating different cultures and family structures, considering accessibility or simply creating a space where you can be completely yourselves.
And while inclusion is at the heart of everything I do, you certainly don't have to be LGBTQ+ to work with me. You just have to want a ceremony that celebrates your relationship, your values and your story.
Meaningful doesn't have to mean traditional
I love a ceremony that makes people laugh, cry and occasionally do both at once.
We can explore readings, music, personal vows and symbolic rituals that genuinely mean something to you. Or we can create something entirely different.
I'll take the time to get to know you, understand what matters to you and write a ceremony that's unmistakably yours.
