Hello I'm Lorna, a Funeral Celebrant, trained and accredited by Humanists UK.
When you lose someone close to you, a meaningful ceremony can be the first step in coming to terms with your loss. Humanist tributes place your loved one centrally, capturing the way they led their life so that your final farewell feels real and authentic. While the service is non-religious, people of all faiths are welcome and included. Instead of hymns, choose music they loved, instead of prayers, reflect on your shared memories.
What I offer
I will meet you and get to know why that person was so special to you and how they would like to be remembered. By doing this, I will create and lead a ceremony that is personal and coloured with stories from their life which made them unique and treasured.
Whether you want a funeral, celebration of life, memorial ceremony or ash ceremony at a later date, the service is custom-made to reflect the individual's life and values. If your are near the end of life, I can help you prepare your ceremony the way you would like it.
A Celebration of a Unique Life
I work closely with families to craft a bespoke and personal ceremony that reflects the story and legacy of their loved one. My aim is to provide a space where family and friends can come together to honour and remember the person, but also celebrate individual life.
Every life is unique, and so should be the funeral to say farewell. Humanist funerals incorporate personal stories, memories, and tributes into the ceremony, to make it a sincere and authentic goodbye. I can guide you on choices, if needed, and also suggest other elements to make the ceremony right for everyone involved.
