Hi, I'm Kay

I’m an accredited Humanist Ceremonies funeral celebrant, trained by Humanists UK, and I specialise in creating and leading non‑religious funerals, celebrations of life, memorials, and ash‑scattering ceremonies.

My aim is to support families with warmth, compassion, and clarity, helping them shape a ceremony that truly reflects the person they are honouring.

What I Offer

Every ceremony I create is entirely bespoke. There is no standard script - each service is shaped around the individual, their story, and what mattered most to them. I take time to listen carefully, learn about your loved one, and understand the tone you want to set.

Working closely with families, I craft ceremonies that feel authentic, inclusive, and meaningful. Whether you prefer something simple and gentle, or a ceremony rich with stories, music, and contributions from family and friends, I’ll help you build something that feels right.

A Humanist Ceremony That Feels Right

Humanist funerals focus on people, relationships, and memories, not religion. They weave together the moments, values, and experiences that shaped a life, offering a sincere and uplifting space to say goodbye.

My priority is to bring calmness and support at a difficult time, guiding you through choices and offering ideas so the ceremony feels personal and comforting for everyone who attends.

How I Can Help

Whether you’re planning ahead or arranging a funeral at short notice, I’m here to help. I offer a steady, reassuring presence and a thoughtful approach that ensures your loved one’s story is told with care.

I’m always happy to have a no‑obligation initial conversation to explain how I work and help you begin planning a ceremony that genuinely honours the person you’re remembering.

Operating throughout England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, we deliver authentic, tailor-made and heartfelt ceremonies for life’s key moments. They are always inclusive and welcoming, regardless of the beliefs of those attending.

You can trust Humanist Ceremonies celebrants: We are DBS-checked, fully insured, and regularly peer reviewed for quality assurance. We are committed to a code of conduct, and have a transparent and robust complaints process in the rare case of a problem. We all pay a monthly fee to Humanists UK to further support the work of the charity, and are part of a regional network for like-minded celebrants for support and learning.

Humanist funerals

Humanist funerals, memorials and ash ceremonies are a fitting way to honour a unique life with warmth, sensitivity and meaning, but without reference to religion or an afterlife. They put the story of the person who has died at the heart of the ceremony, paying tribute to them and the legacy they leave, and provide an opportunity to bring people together, not just to share sadness but to celebrate a life lived.
