I have trained to become a Humanist wedding celebrant because I believe that love, connection, and the commitment two people make to each other deserve to be celebrated in a truly personal and meaningful way.
For me, a wedding is so much more than a ceremony. It is a moment in two people’s lives when they stand together, surrounded by the people who matter most to them, and make a promise to share their future. I love the idea of helping couples create a ceremony that reflects who they are, their journey together, their values, and everything that makes their relationship unique.
One of the things that attracted me most to Humanist weddings is the freedom to create a ceremony that is completely personal to each couple. Every love story is different, and I believe every wedding should be too. Whether a couple wants something romantic, relaxed, fun, emotional, or a little bit of everything, I want to help them create a day that feels authentic to them and gives them memories they will treasure forever.
I am passionate about people, their stories, and the special moments that bring us together. Being a celebrant gives me the opportunity to listen, connect, and turn those stories into a ceremony filled with warmth, laughter, love, and meaning. I want couples to feel comfortable, understood, and confident that their ceremony will be a true reflection of their relationship.
For me, becoming a Humanist wedding celebrant is about being part of one of the happiest and most important days in someone’s life. It is about celebrating love in all its forms, creating meaningful moments, and helping couples begin their married life surrounded by joy and happiness.
Ultimately, I want every couple I work with to look back on their ceremony and think, “That was so us.” If I can help create that feeling, then I will know I am doing something truly worthwhile.
