Congratulations on your wedding plans! You’ve found your person, the one with whom you want to share all life’s best adventures. That is something worth celebrating! I’d love to help you celebrate your marriage wholeheartedly - with a relaxed, joyful, personal ceremony.

I feel extremely lucky to work with lovely couples who want to share their happiness on their wedding day and to make their promises to each other in a way that is both natural and fun, but also heartfelt and meaningful in all the right places.

Personally, I feel my most authentic-self outdoors, with the wind in my hair. Many of my couples do too; and I love to support them in ceremonies held under a leafy canopy or under the boundless sky. 

However, some of my most adventurous couples – keen mountaineers amongst them - have been the most weather-savvy. And we can definitely bring a sense of the great outdoors and all its wild romance to rustic outbuildings, tipis, marquees, village halls. Even the most genteel, elegant country house can be the perfect canvas to share free-range stories that matter to you. 

About Me:

I love big scenery, wild places and nature, as well as cake, castles, and real human connections. I had my own humanist wedding ceremony nearly 20 years ago. As a life-long wedding enthusiast and a celebrant since 2016, I am passionate about helping awesome couples get wed in a way that does them justice. I love weddings and the life-affirming sense of connection they bring.

I’m a mum of two boys (in & approaching their teenage years). Work-wise, I split my working time between my celebrant practice and projects supporting nature restoration (also hugely important to me).

My approach:

I will take time to get to know you before I craft a bespoke wedding ceremony that is rooted in your values, your life experiences, and your passions. Your unique love story is a highlight for me to write, whilst being fun for your guests and making the ceremony feel completely true-to-you. We can include creative symbollic elements, great readings, music, and give active roles to your VIP people - whether that be your children, parents, friends or grandparents!

Your ceremony will also reflect your hopes for the future you want to create together in your marriage. Most importantly, we will share your love with plenty of smiles and laughter, so that you can start your wedding day celebrations with an air-punch of joy!

Although we didn’t know Jennie at the start of our Wedding planning, we’re now proud to tell everyone that “we were married by our friend Jennie”. In the whirlwind that is Wedding planning, with myriad choices draining your energy, speaking with Jennie is an oasis of calm, where you get to just focus on the two of you and your relationship. She is so incredibly skilled at guiding you through the steps, giving you the resources, time and mental space to create something that is truly unique to you. At the ceremony itself, Jennie is able to tell your story exactly as it should be told – in a way that the audience would say is “very you!”

Jennie immediately put us both at ease that the ceremony was in very safe hands Our sessions with Jennie in the midst or organising a DIY orchard wedding were lovely serene moments to remind us of the real reason we were getting married. It was so lovely recounting our stories of how we met and fell in love so we could relive our special moments in the run up to the wedding.

The ceremony script seamlessly flowed between special readings and the story of how we met, the setting of our wedding and our future together. She gave helpful tips along the way about music, PA system and even helped us choose readings that were very tailored to our natural orchard wedding. On the day she delivered the ceremony with such grace and sincerity that there were not many dry eyes through the proceedings. The best man who is a professional communicator and who’s speech lasted 40 minutes said Jennies speech was the best one of the day by far.

We cannot thank Jennie enough for her kindness, professionalism and wonderful style for making the backbone to our joyous wedding. We would not hesitate to recommend her. She completely understood the importance of our ceremony being rooted in nature in an orchard setting and helped us to build our day around what was most important to us as a couple. For that reason the day felt very sincere, relaxed and unique to us, which made for one amazing spectacular day to remember!
