Hello! I’m a Naming Ceremony Celebrant, trained and accredited by Humanists UK. A Naming Ceremony is the non‑religious equivalent of a Christening, perfect for families who are not religious or who prefer to let their children choose their own path when they are older.
I create and deliver joyous, heartfelt, and uplifting personalised humanist naming ceremonies that celebrate the arrival of a new child. I also lead ceremonies to welcome an adopted child into a family, celebrate a blended family, or affirm a new identity.
What I Offer
I will meet with you and your family, either in person or online, to gather everything I need to craft a bespoke, non‑religious ceremony that welcomes your child with warmth and love. Together, we will create an authentic, personal, and meaningful occasion that makes the day uniquely special.
Personalised Naming Ceremonies
Welcoming a new life is a momentous occasion, and I will personalise your ceremony every step of the way — from our initial meeting right through to the completed script. You may wish to involve family and friends, include music, poetry or readings, or weave in symbolic rituals. You might also choose to appoint Guide Parents — sometimes called mentors or champions — as a non‑religious alternative to godparents.
I will guide you through the process so that, whatever you choose, your ceremony feels unique to your family.
