I’m a trained naming ceremony celebrant, which means that I work with you to create and deliver personalised humanist naming ceremonies that celebrate the arrival of a new child - without religion, but with joy! These ceremonies may also celebrate a blended family, an adoption or mark a new identity and phase of life.

How I can help you

I will listen to you and together we will create a personal naming ceremony to welcome your child into your family and the world. I will work with you to develop a ceremony that is all about you, and feels right for your circumstances and the kind of occasion you want it to be. It could include readings, music, symbolic gestures, your stories or any other elements that are meaningful to you. You may want to involve other family members or 'guide parents' (rather than godparents) to support your child as they grow up.

A family growing with the arrival of a new life is a milestone. I'll work with you to help you create an occasion to remember and celebrate this in a style that's right for you and your family.

From our first conversation, through to the first meeting, Helen made us feel completely at ease over how we envisaged the day, and just wanted to make it as special for us as possible.
