I was inspired to become a humanist celebrant after attending beautiful humanist funeral held in difficult circumstances. It profoundly helped me and my family and this is what informs my approach to funerals.
How I can help
It is an enormous privilege to be trusted by people at a time that can be overwhelming. I work with them to identify the right tone and style of ceremony to reflect their wishes and leave them with a helpful memory.
I've worked with and learnt from some wonderful fellow celebrants, funeral directors and crematorium assistants to facilitate funerals that are meaningful and personal. I've been honoured to be asked by friends to lead ceremonies too.
I've had the honour to have worked with people who wish to plan their funeral ahead. It's such a privilege to hear about people's lives and wishes, to create the celebration of their life that feels right to them.
I've led celebrations of a person's life separately from funerals, sometimes including international contributions either online or via video, as well as readings and personal tributes.
