Hello, my lovelies! – I’m Gracie; it’s wonderful to have you on my profile to tell you a little more about me!
I have big hair, a huge smile, and an even bigger heart!
I am a fabulously gay wedding celebrant; I conduct straight and LGBTQA+ inclusive weddings!
My mantra is: No two couples are the same, so why should your wedding be?
I am all about bringing fun to whatever I do. So what brought me to do celebrant work?
I have always worked in people-oriented jobs in management roles, meaning all of my jobs have meant working closely with teams as well as with customers. I love people, and these roles meant getting to know colleagues and customers on personal levels to give both the best experiences. I am flamboyant, colourful, adventurous and artsy. I love meeting different people and celebrating their uniqueness, and encouraging them to celebrate themselves—what better job than helping people celebrate themselves on their wedding day! I offer a caring and supportive hand to encourage them to be their wonderful, silly, crazy, eclectic selves - Weddings are the happiest days of people's lives, and I just love being a part of that happiness!
As part of the beautiful LGBTQ+ family, I am passionate about being able to offer a service that is inclusive. Being gay myself and having a close network of friends and family from all areas of LGBTQ+, I know only too well how scary the world can be for members of the community, where there is still so much hate and prejudice, especially at the present, against our brave trans and non-binary members. No matter what a person's gender or sexuality, I want everyone to be able to celebrate their love and have the wedding they have dreamed of without having to forgo their pronouns or identity. I pride myself on making my services inclusive with documentation that is either gender neutral or that has pronoun options and by being a supportive, caring, and understanding encouragement, especially for couples who may be unable to celebrate their big day with their biological families. I am constantly keeping myself up to date with terminology and frequently attend queer events as well as fundraising for LGBTQ charities.
I ADORE all things eclectic and fabulous, but most of all, I love encouraging people to embrace all the wonderful things that make them, them!
