I genuinely enjoy meeting people & feel it is a privilege to be involved in people’s lives at such a special time. 

A humanist ceremony enables you to celebrate your marriage in a meaningful way, reflecting your uniqueness as a couple.

Your Wedding, Your Way

I will spend time getting to know you, so I can write a personal ceremony which reflects what is important to you in celebrating your marriage. This can include me telling your story as a couple such as how you first met, what you enjoy doing together & your hopes for the future.

You can personalise your ceremony by including poems, readings & music. Other ideas include warming of the rings, signing a certificate or special picture & hand-fasting. I can help you write your own vows but also have a selection that you can choose from.

If you are an outdoor lover & would like to hold your ceremony surrounded by beautiful countryside, then look no further!  I am an experienced fell walker & hold a Summer Mountain Leadership Award.  I have conducted weddings in a wide variety of outdoor settings & many local hotels, village halls, & private family homes & gardens.

My Story

I became a celebrant in 2007 & was delighted to officiate my brother's wedding 4 years later. Over the last 17 years I have led over 300 weddings, & I am passionate about helping people create a wedding ceremony of their choice.

Where I work

I provide Humanist Weddings throughout Cumbria, North Lancashire and North Yorkshire. However, I will also consider individual requests to travel further afield, including overseas.

Fees from...

£550 - this includes a rehearsal which I will conduct before your wedding day at a time convenient to you & your venue. I will provide you with an accurate quote once I have further details of your ceremony. If you would like to book my services I ask you to pay a deposit of £100. The balance is then due a month before your ceremony.
