Thank you for visiting this page.
If you are here, this is likely to be a difficult time for you and your family. The process of organising a funeral can be a daunting task. As an accredited Humanist Ceremonies funeral celebrant I can help in providing compassionate, practical support to help you create a fully personalised, non-religious funeral, memorial or celebration of life that is a true reflection of the person who has died.
I work closely with families from the first meeting through to the ceremony itself, listening carefully, shaping a meaningful and sincere tribute, and helping with structure, music, readings, poetry and contributions from others. With no set rules or rituals, each ceremony is entirely bespoke and can be simple or more complex, solemn or warm. Typically it will often blend reflection with moments of gentle humour and shared memories. Rooted in humanist values of respect, inclusivity and compassion, these ceremonies are designed to honour the individual’s life, support those who are grieving, and create a fitting, authentic and memorable farewell for everyone involved.
Humanist ceremonies have no religious content. Sometimes a family will ask for a hymn to be included even though they want a secular funeral. Everyone has a right to their own personal beliefs and I will offer a time for a silent or private reflection as needed by individual families.
About me
I have been in North Wales for over a decade and live in a beautiful part of the countryside just outside Old Colwyn. Aside from my work in Universities, together with my wife, I keep a small herd of alpacas, have chickens and two noisy dogs.
