Hi, I'm Corinne

I am a humanist celebrant accredited by the Humanists UK. I take funeral ceremonies in Bromley, Kent and Croydon.

A humanist ceremony is an expression of what it means to be a human being. It places the person at the centre of the Service.

We all have a story that is unique to us, there will never be anybody that is quite like you. This is why I feel everyone should have a ceremony that is individually tailored and devoted to the life of your loved one.

A humanist ceremony is not prescribed in any way. This provides real freedom to create exactly what you want. Sometimes you don't actually know what you want, you may have more of an idea of what you don't want, and that's ok. Together we can create the perfect Service for your loved one.

I work with family and friends, together we will mark the occasion with honesty, warmth and affection, using words and music that are personal and appropriate. I will craft a heartfelt and personalised script for the funeral ceremony which honours your loved one. If required I can use my expertise to help family members write their own eulogy, which either I can read on the day or I will give the family every support to enable them to read it.

A little about me, I am married with children and a much loved extended family.

I have had a varied career, including working as a legal executive, professional actress and latterly as an administrator specialising in domiciliary care within the private sector.

My interests are wide and varied and include looking after my horse and walking 3 very energetic dogs and 1 senior citizen retriever, not to mention the various animals that help make up my family. When I can I try and go the Theatre, and I love catching up with my friends, keeping fit and getting my nose into a good book.

If you’d like me to help you create a fitting farewell for your loved one, please give me a call.

Corinne was the celebrant at my husband’s funeral in 2021. The undertaker that I had used recommended her. For my Mum’s funeral this month - August 2024 - I used a different undertaker and specifically asked for Corinne. She makes what is a very difficult time bearable and gets us talking about our loved one. Without realising it, we’ve given her all the material she needs to put together a service to celebrate their life. A very kind, thoughtful and helpful lady.

— Nancy

Corinne spent a long time getting mums history from Dad and myself therefore making the funeral very personal.

— Tracey

Corinne held the ceremony beautifully and helped guide us at this stressful time. She took on board exactly what we wanted and kept us up to date at all times. So many family and friends said what a lovely service it was. Thank you Corinne we really appreciated you help.

— Jude

Everyone said that it was like Corinne knew my mother, even though she had never met her. Corinne listened really well and got a real sense of the scope of Mum’s life and interests into the tribute.

— Esther

Corinne was very professional and read everything out lovely just how we wanted it and when we met her at my house she made us feel very at ease and comfortable and this very sad time, would definitely recommend, service went really well and we are so pleased.

— Maureen

We wanted to be part of delivering a personalised service. Corinne\'s support in developing our thoughts about the service was invaluable, providing a structure and giving us the confidence to go ahead, along with a safety net should we fail.

— Geoff and Rob

I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the beautiful and meaningful service Corinne conducted in our of my beloved Dad. Her word, compassion and genuine care touched our hearts during this difficult time. Corinne\'s ability to celebrate life, love and memories is truly remarkable. The way she honoured my Dad\'s legacy was both comforting and uplifting. Corinne\'s presence made a difference, and for that, I am immensely thankful.

— Gemma

The way Corinne put together the service was beautiful. Corrine is such a warm friendly person when she visited me to sort out my mums service it felt like a friend had popped in to talk about my mum

— Beryl

The ceremony exceeded our expectations, and was one of the most sensitive we have attended. Corinne did a fantastic job throughout the planning and the service.

— Richard

Highly recommend a Humanist service led by this celebrant. Our family is not religious and this personalised service for my brother was perfect for us. When Corinne came to meet us to discuss the service she soon understood the type of man my brother was and encouraged us to bring humour to the words we chose. My husband heard us laughing and said we sounded more like we were having a party, but that’s fine, we wanted his service to show his naughty but humorous side and it did just that. She did a wonderful job and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Corinne.

Operating throughout England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, we deliver authentic, tailor-made and heartfelt ceremonies for life’s key moments. They are always inclusive and welcoming, regardless of the beliefs of those attending.

You can trust Humanist Ceremonies celebrants: We are DBS-checked, fully insured, and regularly peer reviewed for quality assurance. We are committed to a code of conduct, and have a transparent and robust complaints process in the rare case of a problem. We all pay a monthly fee to Humanists UK to further support the work of the charity, and are part of a regional network for like-minded celebrants for support and learning.

Humanist funerals

Humanist funerals, memorials and ash ceremonies are a fitting way to honour a unique life with warmth, sensitivity and meaning, but without reference to religion or an afterlife. They put the story of the person who has died at the heart of the ceremony, paying tribute to them and the legacy they leave, and provide an opportunity to bring people together, not just to share sadness but to celebrate a life lived.
