As an inclusive Humanists UK wedding celebrant, I believe every love story deserves to be celebrated with authentic joy. Since becoming a celebrant in 2024, my approach has been simple: create ceremonies that feel personal, meaningful, and true to each couple. Whether you’re whimsically romantic, joyfully quirky or nerdy, proudly queer, or somewhere beautifully in between, together we can craft a ceremony that reflects your personalities, your values, and the commitment that you are making to each other.
As your celebrant, I will help create the bespoke ceremony - that’s perfect for you. I take time to get to know you both through relaxed conversations and thoughtful questions, building a real sense of your story and what matters to you most. I write your ceremony script, following your ideas and wishes, and can offer inspiration for selecting poetry, readings, music and writing personal vows. If you’re drawn to symbolic elements, we can include meaningful rituals—such as handfasting with ribbons, unity acts, or gentle tributes to loved ones—always keeping the focus on authenticity rather than tradition for tradition’s sake.
Alongside my celebrant work, I volunteer with LGBT+ Humanists, helping to organise and lead community events that create welcoming, supportive spaces for connection and celebration. This experience deeply shapes my ceremonies, and I intentionally create an affirming environment for couples of all identities, cultures, and backgrounds. I also bring compassion shaped by personal experience of living with a disability, and with grief. Weddings can carry layered emotions—missing loved ones, blended families, or sensitive relationships—and I gently support you in acknowledging these realities in ways that feel meaningful without overshadowing the joy of your day. My aim is always to balance warmth, sincerity, and emotional authenticity.
