Hi, I'm Billie

It's lovely to meet you - and congrats on tying the knot!

My name’s Billie. I’m originally from the Wirral peninsula (AKA, the Oblong of Dreams), but now live in Manchester.

When I'm not conducting wedding ceremonies, I’m a professional playwright and screenwriter. I make my living telling stories that are moving, funny and memorable, and as a celebrant I’m here to help tell your story in a way that feels unique to you.

My favourite thing about Humanist Ceremonies is that they are so bespoke.

Every couple is different, and so is every ceremony. It can be as traditional or unconventional as you like. We might include readings, vows, symbolic actions, cultural traditions or (non-cringe, totally consensual) audience participation. Whether you already know what you want your ceremony to look like, or you have absolutely no idea, we can work together to create something meaningful, personal, and unforgettable.

I’m queer and trans inclusive and am keen to discuss how we can make your ceremony as accessible and welcoming as possible.

It’s no small thing, declaring your love in front of the people who matter most. It’s my job to make sure things go smoothly so you can focus on being together and enjoying the day.

I would be chuffed to be part of your celebrations!

If you think I might be a good fit, drop me a message and we can have a free, no-pressure-to-commit virtual brew to chat in more detail.

Billie was the most amazing celebrant that we could have hoped for. They guided us through so many parts of the ceremony and planning that we hadn't even considered, asked us so many important questions, gave excellent advice and support, and kept us on track through the chaos of planning. Their speech was incredible and we were so impressed with how well they captured our most precious memories and moments, joining them into a beautiful narrative, on the very first draft. Many of our guests told us how impressed they were with Billie and that it was the most beautiful ceremony that they had attended. Billie was an essential part of making our day so special, and we're so grateful. Thank you, Billie!
