Hello and welcome!
If you're here reading this you're probably in the (totally not stressful) process of organising your wedding. So, first and foremost - Congratulations!
Hopefully I can provide some insight into Humanist Wedding Ceremonies and what your special day might look like.
Humanist Ceremonies are entirely unique because as people, we are entirely unique. Your Ceremony will be a reflection of you as individuals and as a couple, and it's completely up to you what that reflection looks like. It can be as traditional or non traditional as you like, involve family, friends, or pets, have music, superheroes as ring bearers, or even include a drinks break. Your Ceremony can also be anywhere; in your back garden, along the coast; in a forest.
It's your Wedding, your way. My job is simply to help with that, whether it's fun, relaxed, heartfelt, or a little bit of everything.
I chose to become a Humanist Wedding Celebrant after enjoying the relaxed and personal nature of my own Humanist Ceremony back in 2022.. We received so many compliments from guests about the warmth, humour, and personal feel, so I wanted to offer that experience to other couples. It really adds another layer to hear your relationship captured so accurately.
Creating your Ceremony is very much a collaborative effort. We'll catch up in person or virtually to map out your ceremony and so I can find out all about you both and your love story in preparation for writing your script. I love a good chat so you'll likely end up hearing some of my stories too!
For a little bit about me, I'm a lifelong grunger, avid movie fan, and owner of a remarkably underused gym membership. I also play a worrying amount of 7 aside football to be as distinctively average at it as I am. I will say yes to any plan that involves a pint of Guinness and these frequently include my wife and I taking our two dogs, Ruby and Juno, to the park, with the odd refreshment on the way home.
We also have two cats, Ginger and Oreo, but they are usually busy living their own lives, because, cats.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss creating your own personal and memorable ceremony, please feel free to send me an email/text or give me a call.
