Hi, I'm Anne

Firstly, welcome to my page. If you are recently bereaved, then my thoughts are with you. To say goodbye to a loved one is one of the most difficult things we must face and a deeply personal and emotional experience, it can be overwhelming, I am here to advise and support you through this.

I ensure effectual communication, so you will feel connected during the planning process, I will take the time to meet with you, listen to your stories, and learn about your loved one.

Together, we will create a ceremony that reflects your wishes, and resonates with those who attend to celebrate the unique journey of the person who has died, reflecting their personality, values, and the moments that mattered most. I am here to guide and support you in crafting something truly meaningful, to achieve the right balance of reflection and celebration, honouring the life of the deceased while providing comfort and support to those left behind.

A funeral is a time for mourning, a sad time, and an opportunity to remember the good times and the positive impact that the person had on their family, friends, and community.

The ceremony can take place in different settings, including – crematoria, cemeteries, natural burial grounds, clubs and open spaces – anywhere that has resonance for the bereaved. I will help you decide on the kind of ceremony you want and help to make it happen.

HUMANIST CEREMONIES™ is the network of more than 550 celebrants, trained by national charity Humanists UK to a gold standard to provide memorable and meaningful humanist ceremonies to non-religious people. Operating throughout England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, we deliver authentic, tailor-made and heartfelt ceremonies for life’s key moments. They are always inclusive and welcoming, regardless of the beliefs of those attending.

You can trust Humanist Ceremonies celebrants: We are DBS-checked, fully insured, and regularly peer reviewed for quality assurance. We are committed to a code of conduct, and have a transparent and robust complaints process in the rare case of a problem. We all pay a monthly fee to Humanists UK to further support the work of the charity, and are part of a regional network for like-minded celebrants for support and learning.

Humanist funerals

Humanist funerals, memorials and ash ceremonies are a fitting way to honour a unique life with warmth, sensitivity and meaning, but without reference to religion or an afterlife. They put the story of the person who has died at the heart of the ceremony, paying tribute to them and the legacy they leave, and provide an opportunity to bring people together, not just to share sadness but to celebrate a life lived.
