Hi, I'm Adele
I was born and brought up in Dundee, Scotland. At the age of 24, I moved to Suffolk and have lived in the area ever since.
I've worked in a wide range of occupations such as website developer, web content creator and quality assurance assessor for companies like Norwich Union/Aviva, The BBC and The National Archives.
I have a background in performance and content creation and I promise to work with you to craft a bespoke, personal service that fits your needs. I will work closely with you to build a ceremony that is both unique and memorable for you. I am experienced in working in a range of environments, including crematoria, cemeteries and green burial grounds and can craft a bespoke funeral, memorial or celebration of life for you.
I have a wide range of contacts with local businesses and funeral directors and can help advise as much or as little as needed. I can also provide technical elements such as projectors, amplification and microphones if needed as well as being able to provide ceremonial elements such as flowers for scattering, military standards and much more.
Adele was very patient with us (a group of six siblings) as we organised a memorial service for our mother on a tight time line. She made many good suggestions, was calm and caring throughout, and helped us give our mum exactly the kind of sendoff she would have wished for.

Adele produced a fantastic story that captured the essence of my wife's life, from the many stories and anecdotes that I provided. She advised where best to place the poems and photo montage so the story naturally flowed which she delivered perfectly with great clarity, tone and humour. She is a caring and lovely lady with a wicked sense of humour. I was drawn to her for this reason when looking for a celebrant that would do my wife, I, family and friends proud at her celebration of life - and that she did. Many of our family and friends who attended said it was the best service they had ever been to, lots of happy tears and laughter. Adele went the extra mile by even wearing minion pyjamas and flips flops on what was a chilly January afternoon. It would be 10/10 for me - so 5 stars

Adele did a fantastic job in helping us remember Brian in a way that was respectful and thoughtful yet upbeat. She has been a very kind and generous guide through this process and we can't thank her enough.

The service given by Adele was lovely for my Mother In Law. She conducted the service with such feeling and talked as if she really knew Pat. She had obviously taken an immense amount of time really getting to know the details and spoke with sympathy and empathy and some jollity where required. It made the whole process seem much less tragic somehow. Adele has a real personable aura about her from the moment you meet her.

Adele is a warm and personable celebrant who took the time to listen to my family and our memories if our mum. She did our mum justice and the ceremony was perfect.

Adele is warm but totally professional and guided us through the funeral planning with with dedication and care. The service was comforting and Adele made it so by the way she conducted it.

After working alongside Adele for the past few years as my role as a Funeral Director I have nothing but good things to say. Always willing to work with family requests and deliver those to the highest quality, nothing is ever too much trouble. Highly recommended.

HUMANIST CEREMONIES™ is the network of more than 550 celebrants, trained by national charity Humanists UK to a gold standard to provide memorable and meaningful humanist ceremonies to non-religious people. Operating throughout England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, we deliver authentic, tailor-made and heartfelt ceremonies for life’s key moments. They are always inclusive and welcoming, regardless of the beliefs of those attending.
You can trust Humanist Ceremonies celebrants: We are DBS-checked, fully insured, and regularly peer reviewed for quality assurance. We are committed to a code of conduct, and have a transparent and robust complaints process in the rare case of a problem. We all pay a monthly fee to Humanists UK to further support the work of the charity, and are part of a regional network for like-minded celebrants for support and learning.
Humanist funerals
Humanist funerals, memorials and ash ceremonies are a fitting way to honour a unique life with warmth, sensitivity and meaning, but without reference to religion or an afterlife. They put the story of the person who has died at the heart of the ceremony, paying tribute to them and the legacy they leave, and provide an opportunity to bring people together, not just to share sadness but to celebrate a life lived.
