Join us to discuss your ideas for the community and our 2026 events, and find out more about getting involved.
We’ll be discussing:
- Topics and potential speakers for future events.
- Increasing attendance and participation at our monthly events - including making them more attractive to families and younger people.
- Adding a second event - perhaps a pub social, coffee morning or book club - to our regular monthly programme.
- Other events and activities to reach the local community - e.g. street stalls, or participating in Pride, Remembrance, or interfaith discussions.
- Increasing donations and fundraising opportunities to keep our community sustainable.
- Recruiting more volunteers and ensuring volunteering is an accessible, fun and rewarding experience.
- Engaging more with other community groups - including inviting guest speakers, joint events and co-promotion.
- Campaign ideas and activities to promote awareness of humanism and humanist causes.
Following the meeting, our committee will be working on our 2026 annual plan.
