This is a monumental occasion for the campaign for a more compassionate assisted dying law, as this is the first ever Commons inquiry into assisted dying and the first in Parliament in 17 years. If like us, you think that terminally ill or incurably suffering people deserve dignity, choice, and the right to die, then in response to the first question, choose the option ‘I broadly disagree with the law on this issue in England and Wales.’
In answering the second question, it’s important Parliament receives personal views or stories. If a loved one has experienced a tragic or undignified death, please do tell their story. Otherwise, feel free to talk about the humanist values that shape your worldview, such as the importance of bodily autonomy and the freedom to make decisions about your life and death.
