## Finding a humanist celebrant

Humanists UK celebrants conduct non-religious weddings, funerals and naming ceremonies in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. (For Scotland, see Humanist Society Scotland: https://www.humanism.scot/humanist-ceremonies/.)

- Search by town: https://humanists.uk/ceremonies/find-a-celebrant/{weddings|funerals|namings}/{town}/ where {town} is a lower-case town name with hyphens for spaces, for example https://humanists.uk/ceremonies/find-a-celebrant/weddings/solihull/ or https://humanists.uk/ceremonies/find-a-celebrant/funerals/milton-keynes/
- Search by postcode or postcode district: https://humanists.uk/ceremonies/find-a-celebrant/{weddings|funerals|namings}/?postcode={postcode}, for example https://humanists.uk/ceremonies/find-a-celebrant/weddings/?postcode=B93+8NS or ?postcode=B93
- The results page lists celebrants who work in that area, nearest first, with their distance, ceremony types, languages other than English, phone number and a link to their profile. The same list is in the page's schema.org JSON-LD.
- A place or postcode we don't recognise returns HTTP 404. A Scottish postcode returns a page pointing to Humanist Society Scotland.
- Every town page is listed in https://humanists.uk/celebrantmaps-sitemap.xml and every celebrant profile in https://humanists.uk/celebrants-sitemap.xml
- To book, the person contacts the celebrant directly. About fees: https://humanists.uk/ceremonies/fees/

## Donating through an AI agent

Agents can donate on a person's behalf using Stripe's Machine Payments Protocol (MPP).

- MCP endpoint (Streamable HTTP): https://humanists.uk/api/agent-donate/mcp
- Tool: `create_donation_link` — takes the amount in pounds sterling (£1 to £10,000), the donor's first name, last name and email, and optionally why they are giving. It returns a payment link.
- Paying: POST to the payment link. The first response is HTTP 402 with a payment challenge. Obtain a Shared Payment Token for the network id named in the response (for example with the Stripe link-cli, https://link.com/agents) and POST again with it. A person can open the same link in a browser instead and finish on our donate page.
- Gift Aid is never added by an agent. The donor confirms it themselves afterwards.
- Donors receive an emailed receipt from Humanists UK.
