Religion and Sex Abuse | Faith to Faithless

Registration is closed for this event
June 14th, 2022 19:00   --   21:00

For this event, Faith to Faithless will be hosting a panel of experts to come and tell us about their own experiences of working with survivors of religious sexual abuse.

We'll be looking at why abuse happens, the short and long term impact on the psychological well-being of victims, how we can provide effective support to facilitate recovery.

You'll get to hear what our speakers have to say, and afterwards you'll get a chance to put your questions to our panel. Many of our participants at these events prefer maintaining low visibility, so you're welcome to come along, leave your camera and microphone off and use the 'chat' facility if you decide you'd like to join the debate.

If you would like to know more about this event, please get in touch with us at info@faithtofaithless.com.

Faith to Faithless is Humanists UK’s support programme for so-called ‘apostates’ and those who leave high-control religions.

The service is led by apostates themselves, who have knowledge and experiences of apostate communities facing serious and systemic issues.
