London Humanist Choir Summer Picnic and Singsong

August 7th, 2022 15:00   --   18:00

The London Humanist Choir is looking to connect with other Humanist UK sections. We are a friendly, non-auditioned London-based choir focused on promoting Humanism in the arts. Our emphasis is on enjoying music in a non-religious surrounding and helping promote the open, understanding and secular ethos of Humanism in a fun way.

We’d like to invite you to our Summer Picnic on Sunday 7 August. It will be a great way to meet the choir and for us to meet you, and for all of us to learn what the other sections are doing. We always have a bit of music and encourage you to join in!

We’re planning to meet from 15:00 in Regent’s Park at this location. This is just south-east of the intersection of the Inner Circle and Chester Road. Access is via Chester Road.

Please bring your own picnic and blanket and, if you play an instrument that’s remotely portable, don’t be shy – bring it along! We’ll kick off with some songs from around 15:30. We plan to finish between 17:30 and 18:00.

Joining the choir

We’re also looking to expand the choir when we restart rehearsals in September so we can better represent the humanist community. If you are someone who has never considered joining a choir or if you have been in a religious choir but as a humanist you would like to sing with like-minded individuals and not have to perform Christmas carols or other music with a religious message, we are the choir for you!

Learn more on the Join Us section of our web site, or chat with us at the picnic. You can also find us online on our YouTube channel or on social media.
