Join us for this free event exploring the ethics of extending human longevity, and what the future of the human lifespan might look like. Book your place now.

The human lifespan has extended well beyond that of our ancestors, and in 2022, humanity grows increasingly equipped to extend it even further due to extraordinary advances in medicine and technology. But this raises ethical, practical, and philosophical questions. To what extent can we increase our lifespan? What would it cost? And if we could, would we want to? And if not, why not? Book your place to find out more.

Our speaker, Richard Faragher, is Professor of Biological Gerontology at the University of Brighton. His many roles, past and present, include Chair of the British Society for Research on Ageing. He is currently a Director of the American Federation for Aging Research, the leading US non-profit organization supporting and advancing healthy aging through biomedical research. His primary research interest is the relationship between cellular senescence and organismal aging.
