Please, take action today to help legalise compassionate assisted dying by supporting Humanists UK.
By donating today, you’ll be supporting Humanists UK’s campaigns, communications, and education functions. Your gift will help us build more relationships, conduct further research, and pursue hard-hitting new activities towards a fairer, more rational society. It could make a crucial difference to achieving our vision of society, including on the right to die.
Here’s what donations have allowed us to do recently:
- In April, with the support of Dr Henry Marsh, we called for the Government to launch an inquiry into assisted dying in England and Wales, supported by over 50 MPs and peers, who signed a letter to the Justice Secretary and committee chairs. Our calls received coverage in every newspaper, radio station, and on primetime BBC News.
- More recently, in July, we published brand new research showcasing just how rapidly the UK is falling behind what is increasingly the compassionate standard around the world: humane assisted dying laws.
- In October, we lobbied peers and rallied members to support a new Assisted Dying Bill in the House of Lords
As assisted dying legislation moves forward in Westminster, Scotland, and Jersey, we urgently need more funds to enable our important work.
Your donation will help us reach more people, expand our services, and help make humanist perspectives heard in public debate.
