(always Christine, never Chris!)
Your wedding, vow renewal or commitment ceremony should be the bright beating heart of your day, the reason your friends and family gather together, not something to endure before the party. By working collaboratively with you, I'm able to create ceremonies that celebrate your love and commitment in a way that leaves everyone saying, 'ooohhh, that was SO them.'
If you're looking for a down to earth celebrant, with twelve years of experience, lots of positive client testimonials, a fairly ‘unflowery’ writing style and a sense of humour, I might be just the ticket.
My background is in education - support roles and teaching - and I continue to work as an English tutor. Being a wedding celebrant is my 'joyful work' and the most enjoyable part of the job is definitely meeting people. I love that I get enquiries from a broad cross-section of the community; it’s a wonderful privilege to be invited into people’s lives, for them to share their stories with me and to be the person they trust to lead their day.
Equality, equity and inclusion are incredibly important to me. Enquiries are welcomed from everyone - your sexuality, gender identity, race, ethnicity, disability, cultural or religious heritage should not be a barrier to you having exactly the ceremony you want. It's your ceremony and you're the expert in your own lived experience, so I'll be guided by you and I'll do my utmost to make our working relationship a safe space. You'll let me know if there's something I need to consider, include or adapt to make your wedding or commitment ceremony inclusive of and accessible to you and yours and I'll adjust accordingly.
Being a celebrant is the most joyful job I've ever had and something I'm very proud to do.
