Born in 1926, Warren Mitchell joined the RAF in 1944 in company with Richard Burton and, perhaps luckily, completed his training just as the war ended. Afterwards, instead of going back to complete his Physics degree he decided to follow Burton into acting and enrolled at RADA. His first big break came with the TV comedy “Till Death us do Part” in 1965, and he has since become an acclaimed and versatile actor in theatre and television.
