Stephen Fry and Humanists UK launch animated film

15 November, 2022

Humanists UK has today launched a new membership recruitment drive, fronted by an animated film from patron Stephen Fry.

Stephen is an actor, broadcaster, comedian, director, writer, and bona fide ‘national treasure’. He has now been delightfully brought to life in animated form. The film is appealing for new members to allow the continuation and growth of Humanists UK’s important work, including its important campaigns, services like pastoral care in hospitals, and humanist ceremonies.

The recruitment film will be shared on Humanist UK’s social media channels as well as with existing members and supporters. More information on membership of Humanists UK can be found here.

Humanists UK Chief Executive Andrew Copson said:

‘Stephen adds so much warmth and humanity to everything he touches, and is really just the perfect person to help spread our message about the benefits of membership. We’ve been thrilled to work with him on this project.

Humanists UK relies completely on support from members, not only to fund our much-needed communications and community services but to show that we represent an ever-growing proportion of the UK population – this thriving group makes all the difference in our campaigning work.

We really hope that this membership recruitment drive will boost our numbers and introduce even more people to the humanist approach and to Humanists UK’
